Hugh is a freelance composer and a writer, and regularly performs and teaches. He has written music for Devon Philharmonic Orchestra, No Dice Collective, Ludlow English Song Weekend and Manchester Contemporary Youth Opera, and writes about music for Jazzwise and other publications.

Katie is now a professional singer and has her singing teacher at Manchester to thank for supporting her career aspirations, as well as the ongoing support from the department in the years since graduating.

Leo Geyer, GRNCM Composition and MusB Music
Leo works at the Royal Opera House as a cover conductor for The Royal Ballet, as well as being the conductor for the new music ensemble Khymerikal and Artistic Director of Constella Ballet & Orchestra. His music has been performed worldwide and broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

Olivia researches and pitches new ideas across the specialist and popular factual genres to television channels, focusing on music and arts programmes. She writes programme proposals to send to commissioners; organises meetings with on-screen talent, authors and experts; and helps shoot and edit taster tapes.

After gaining an anchoring in ethnomusicology at Manchester and diving into the city’s rich performance scene, Rohan is an ethnomusicologist in training about to embark on a PhD, with a specialism in Southeast Asian music.

Tom is a composer of notated music and has written pieces for BBC Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia and the Philharmonia. He is currently working on commissions for BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and London Sinfonietta.
