HCRI online and short courses

Develop your humanitarian and global health knowledge with stand-alone CPD units and short online courses.

The Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI) provides an unrivalled learning environment at one of the highest-ranked universities in the UK.

We offer a number of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units and short online courses to develop your skills and proficiency in the fields of humanitarianism and global health.

By bringing together medicine and humanities, our programmes offer an inclusive approach to humanitarian education that mirrors the reality of aid operations and informs both analytical and applied disciplines.

Our short courses and CPD units fit in alongside your work commitments, through online and blended-learning delivery.

Preparedness prior to responding to an international disaster cannot be underestimated and the Emergency Humanitarian Assistance module is a step in the right direction.

The lectures cover a wide variety of relevant health-related topics delivered by a high calibre of speakers, many drawing on first-hand accounts from personal experience of working on disaster response teams worldwide.

Courses

Over six weeks our expert staff take students through a programme of education that covers the role and practice of humanitarianism in the modern world, and discusses the relevance, effectiveness and justification for integrated, collaborative humanitarian interventions in a world containing so much inequality.
