Symphony Orchestra

The University of Manchester Symphony Orchestra is one of the most active and ambitious student orchestras in the country, performing a large range of demanding repertoire in around eight concerts a year.

Symphony Orchestra

Students have the opportunity to play alongside several concerto soloists, as well as in two concerts with the University of Manchester Chorus, performing a range of choral-orchestral works.

MUSO is conducted by our professional conductor, Robert Guy, alongside our student conductors, who receive tuition from Robert as part of the Music department's conducting programme.
