Conducting programme

We have a highly acclaimed student conducting programme at The University of Manchester.

Each year, six instrumental and four choral conductors are selected by audition to work with our ensembles. They all study with and are guided by our own professional conductor, Robert Guy.

Students have the opportunity to develop their conducting skills as part of our Ensemble Performance course unit in Year 2.

Those students selected by audition may choose to take performance recital in conducting in Year 3.

Second study lessons are available to all students by agreement.
