Jessy Keely

Screenwriting MA

Jessy Keely, 26 from Cheshire, who graduates at the end of the year (2016) has already secured a position with Lime Pictures as a researcher on Hollyoaks following an internship arranged by the Centre for New Writing. 

Jessy will support script editors, writers and the story department with research needed for new storylines.

Jessy said:

"Having a year to develop my writing skills, learn from passionate industry professionals and the freedom to excusably indulge myself in watching as many films/TV shows as possible was the best form of preparation for going into the industry. Since finishing my dissertation, I jumped straight into an internship at Hollyoaks and have now signed a contract to stay! Whilst it's all very exciting, I know that I would not be in the position I am today had it not been for the MA and the confidence-boosting, kindness and mentorship from Tim and Emma. It was a fairy tale year and I miss it!"
