Exams offered by the "Prüfungszentrum Goethe-Institut" at the Language Centre of The University of Manchester are internationally recognised and highly regarded by German employers and grant-awarding bodies.

The next exam period is May 2025.
Dates for May/June 2025:
- Goethe Zertifikat C1: Friday, 16 May 2025 (date guaranteed)
- Goethe Zertifikat B2: Friday, 23 May 2025 (subject to numbers)
- Goethe Zertifikat B1: Friday, 30 May 2025 (subject to numbers)
The examination will start at 9am or 10am in the morning and take most of the day up to early / later afternoon, depending on the number of candidates. Please note they will not go ahead if there are not enough candidates. See here for information on exam fees.
Enrolment
The enrolment period will open on 3 March 2025 and will close on 30 April 2025 at 4pm.
Enrolment form for internal and external candidates. An external candidate is anyone who is not currently on a LEAP German or German Studies (GERMXXXX) course.
