Stories of change

An Exhibition about the 70 years of the NHS, December 2017.

In December 2017 students from the MA programme in Art Gallery and Museum Studies produced a group pop-up exhibition called, Stories of Change: 70 years of the NHS. The students created a series of interactive displays using objects from the Museum of Medicine and Health’s collection. The displays focused on several aspects of the NHS, with themes including midwifery, the private sector and Ancoats Hospital.

The one day exhibition was produced in collaboration with the University of Manchester’s Museum of Medicine and Health and the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health’s NHS at 70 public history project. The exhibition was funded by the Faculty of Humanities.
