Healing Histories was a pop-up exhibition of objects from the University's Museum of Medicine and Health, curated by MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies students this December. It aimed to explore the curious and inspiring past of health and medicine, celebrate discoveries, explore the unappreciated and highlights important objects that tell our collective stories. Interactive elements made the past come alive, as the exhibition took visitors through six themes, from Triumphs of Medicine to The Doctor’s Bag.

The exhibition was a collaboration between the Institute for Cultural Practices and the Museum of Medicine and Health, Manchester Central Library, Archives+ and the Centre for Engagement and Involvement (CEI) of the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. It was funded by the Faculty of Humanities.
