Overview of PhD

I am exploring the links between Scottish government policy, nationhood and how this is expressed through the National Strategy for Scotland’s Museums, in particular, whether economics is the most appropriate measure of success for museums.

Biography

Joe has a wealth of experience in cultural strategy and delivery across arts and heritage. With experience in the independent and local government sectors, Joe is currently a board member of several cultural organisations, including the Culture, Animal and Active Trusts of the People’s Postcode Lottery and the Glasgow City Heritage Trust. He is currently Head of Museum Development, the National Development Body for Scotland’s museums and galleries.
