Contemporary Arab Cinema
Contemporary Arab Cinema is a sustainable project that has facilitated the mapping, critique and analysis of contemporary Arab film.
Countries of interest include Egypt, Lebanon and Palestine among others. We have a comprehensive and accessible database of contemporary Arab film, run collaboratively by the American University in Cairo (AUC) and The University of Manchester; and are building the most comprehensive Arab film library in England at the University of Manchester.
We have organised events, screenings and masterclasses on diverse trends and themes in Arab cinema over the past three years both in Manchester and in Cairo.
