French (Introductory): Daniela Velasco

Daniela, a non-credited student from Ecuador, studied Introductory French at the University Language Centre (ULC).

Why did you choose to study a language at the University of Manchester?

I'm a student at The University of Manchester, which helps me to manage my schedule easily. It was good to have the support of the staff in case one of my degree subjects clashed with my French classes.

Apart from class time, how much time did you spend a week on your studies?

I reviewed on weekends what I learned from class and I also did my homework then too.

How did you find your course in terms of level?

Good, I acquired new knowledge and understanding of the language.

What did you most enjoy about your course?

Our teacher was very kind. She promoted the participation of everyone in class.

Have you been able to put your newly acquired language skills to use outside the classroom? If so, please tell us how.

Planning a trip to France. I was able to use my new knowledge to make reservations and read some comments online.
