Community music-making

The MUMS Outreach scheme allows MUMS members to give something back to the community, as well as creating an enjoyable music-making atmosphere.

Music outreach involves bringing high-quality music-making to a range of communities and organisations in the Manchester area, including places where music is rarely heard.

The Outreach Orchestra encourages interactive music making in schools, while the Outreach Choir sings in hospitals and care homes.

The Outreach team also produce relaxed concerts in the University to break down certain performance conventions and create a more accessible performing space.
