LEAP - Urdu courses
We offer one full-year (two semesters, September to May) 3-contact hours per week course aiming to develop basic language competence and cultural knowledge for all walks of life in an Urdu-speaking country.
The course books listed on these pages have not yet been approved for 2022/23.
Note: An Urdu Bursary funded by the High Commission of Pakistan will be available for the academic year 2022/23 for a member of the public who wishes to learn Urdu at the beginners level to enhance their career and connections with local communities.
If you would like to be considered for the bursary, please submit a one-page statement (approximately 300 words) explaining why you would like to study Urdu and how this would benefit your work or career and the local community. The deadline is 22 September at 12.00. Please send your statement to leap@manchester.ac.uk
