Creative practice research events
Our Thursday research afternoons frequently include practice-based workshops and masterclasses drawing on the expertise of esteemed performers and composers who work intensively with our postgraduate students on their applied research projects.
The Danel String Quartet is key to this process, but we also draw on the expertise of leading invited composers and practitioners from around the UK and further afield.
For Semester 2 of the 2018–19 academic year, our programme of creative practice events comprises:
Ofer Landsberg: Jazz Masterclass
Rob Hall & Chick Lyall: Jazz Improvisation Workshop
Nick Ashton: Piano Masterclass
Evi Patsiaoura: Nigerian Gospel Singing Workshop
Northern Harmony: Singing Workshop
Noemi Gyori: Flute Masterclass
Careers Event with MUMS alumni
Danels: Postgraduate Composition Workshop
Stephen Richardson: Voice Masterclass
