Course: MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies, Full Time, 2016-17

My experience of the AGMS course at The University of Manchester couldn't have been better. I learned from experts and we had the opportunity to go on field trips and go behind the scenes of national museums. But above all, I will always be very grateful to Kostas and the rest of the department for being so supportive and close to all of us. I always felt empowered to pursue my personal best and always found a helping hand when I needed advice.

I particularly enjoyed the Digital Heritage module. I learned about the ways in which museums and arts organisations are expanding into the digital world. Thanks to this module I found ways to integrate two of my interests, Marketing and Data Analysis, into the museum practice.

The skills that I gained during the course gave me the confidence to start a career in the cultural sector and the people that I met empowered me to push boundaries and always be curious.

And, what can I say from the city of Manchester? Manchester is one of my favourite cities in the world. Manchester has something that not many cities have. It is a city with personality, a city that is proud of its heritage. If I were a poet I’d find beautiful words to describe it. Sadly I’m not. So all I can say is: you have to experience it to understand it!
