SALC festive competition

Staff and students are invited to participate in SALC's festive competition #SALCelfie - Organised by the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, The University of Manchester.

As we all prepare for a well-deserved vacation, staff and students of the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures (SALC) will be spending the holiday period in all corners of the world.

Please tell us where you are spending the holiday season by sending an image with a festive message through SALC's social media channels. It would be great to have entries from each continent if possible!

How: take a picture of yourself or of a place/landscape wherever you are over the vacation period. Your image should feature the competition hashtag #SALCelfie clearly. See an example shown. Send your picture to us via email / Twitter / Facebook, with a short festive message, indicating also the location the picture has been taken. All entries will be pinned on our Pinterest board and a Google map.

#SALCelfie

What: your picture can be taken anywhere in the world, make it as creative as possible. The picture should feature the competition hashtag #SALCelfie clearly. Please do not submit any potentially offensive material as such entries will be eliminated from the competition.

When: all entries must be received by Friday, 15 January 2016.

How many: you can submit as many images as you wish.

Language: Please write your festive message in English (or provide a translation with it).
