Issue 25

Issue 25
Issue 25 features work by Althea McNish whose exhibition at the Whitworth coincided with the launch of the latest issue of the review.

Welcome to Issue 25 of The Manchester Review. This is an outstanding issue and we're happy to be featuring new poetry from Peter Sansom, Sarah Corbett, Joanna Guthrie, and Greta Stoddart, alongside new fiction by Mary O'Donnell, Kavan Stafford, Nicholas Murgatroyd, and Henry Tydeman. The images from the issue are taken from the Whitworth's major retrospective of Althea McNish work, which is currently on display at the gallery.

Special issue: Poems in a pandemic

Lauren Valensky
Students of the Centre for New Writing have created poetry to reflect living through COVID-19.

Students at The Centre of New Writing have responded to the global pandemic in their poetry, using their words to reflect the world in which we live and how their lives and broader society has been impacted by lockdown, by politics and by the way the human race has responded to this once-in-a-century event.
